Abstract: Using pulsed current at manual metal arc welding represents a new research idea perspective and provocative for major manufacturers of welding equipment. The concept is based on the ability to control the volume of welding pool at low frequencies of the pulses, below 5 Hz.Experimental research underlines the beneficial influence of pulsed current welding on weld geometry for butt joints. Abstract: Martensitic heat-resistant steel P92 belongs to very progressive group of 9-12% Cr steels modified with vanadium and niobium, with controlled boron and nitrogen content. P92 has got excellent creep properties and it is used very often to build the most exposed parts of supercritical units in steam power plants. The goal of this article is to compare the real welded joints with the simulated samples and to optimize the heat treatment and welding process of P92 steel. Abstract: Simulation, as a tool for acquiring the optimal solution, is also representing a support tool that allows managers to test the effects of their decisions on the simulation model and not directly on a real system. This model also enables to implement various experiments, analyze them, evaluate them and consequently performs the optimization. [..] Read more

Abstract: In this work, we report a facile method for a detection of mettalothionein (MT) - potential biomarker of tumor diseases. Combination of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma coupled to mass spectrometric detection (LA-ICP-MS) with sample pretreatment by magnetic particles modified by molecularly imprinted polymers (Mag-MIP) enables selective and sensitive protein detection and quantification.
