Abstract

The article presents the results of the study of the microstructure and mechanical properties of austenitic stainless steel AISI-321 after radial-shear rolling. The studies carried out in this work allowed to prove the possibility of obtaining the ultra-fine-grained structure in long-length blanks of austenitic stainless steel AISI-321 after radial-shear rolling, as well as to achieve a significant increase in the initial mechanical properties of this steel. Thus, in the course of experimental studies, bars from AISI-321 steel with a diameter of 13 mm with a grain size of 300-600 nm were obtained, while having an inhomogeneity in the cross section of the bar. The mechanical properties and microhardness of steel AISI-321 were increased more than 2 times compared to the original values.
