Presentation of companies:
Thermo-Calc Software AB, ANAMET Ltd./Nanovea Inc., Linde Gas a.s., ZDAS a.s., W.S. Maney & Son Ltd., Cambridge University Press and The Czech Society for New Materials and Technologies.

On Thursday afternoon took place the accompanying program, which included the Cruise ship on the Brno dam and the visit of the Brno technical museum or Villa Tugendhat. The participants of this accompanying program were greatly appreciated.

The first day was held in Voronez I Social evening with wine tasting of South Moravia Restaurant with accompanied by dulcimer music. The following evening took place at Moravska chalupa Beer party with grilling piglets.

Supplementing the excellent technical support in the conference halls of symposia, food services, accommodation in the hotel or nearby, determines the location for the year 2015 as the best.

In the poster session was more than 220 posters were also represented in proportion to the number of papers at various symposia. Conference organizer TANGER Ltd. based on the evaluation of chairmen of symposia announced five honorable mentions and another 3 prizes including practical gifts. The poster session of the conference was also considered very successful.

Abstract: Acicular ferrite has been used to increase the toughness and strength of low-carbon alloy steel weld metals. Finely dispersed nonmetallic inclusions can serve as nucleation sites for acicular ferrite, and thus reduce the grain size and consequently improve the mechanical properties of steel. [..] Read more

Abstract: Nowadays it is claimed that the silicon appears in the metal not only from the slag SiO2 reduction at the liquid phase, but also from a gaseous SiO. Presented in this paper, laboratory tests were aimed on finding the effect of temperature and MgO containing in the slag on the dynamics of the Si transition to the hot metal at the liquid phase at the time when slag lies on metal. Abstract: The influence of Temperature-Strain-Time parameters at the Thermomechanical Processing (TMP) of austenitic, duplex and pearlitic structural steels on the mesostructure formation has been studied based on the laboratory, industrial experiments and TEM analysis. The fragmented dislocation substructure observed in steels with a different carbon, nitrogen, titanium, niobium content as well as recrystallization gave evidence that TMP effects the work-hardening and softening behaviour.
